Positive
Outcomes
Working with partners for positive child outcomes. RI acknowledges that spiritual nurture and development of the children is a combined responsibility of all the stakeholders.
How Ripples International is engaging with the stakeholders
We engage and we build positive relations with the church, para-church organizations and institutions, supporters, donors and partners to improve their understanding and appreciation of opportunities for engagement with Ripples International for Child well-being.
We engage with the churches to build a holistic ministry that caters for children by building the capacity of churches to the spiritual nurture and protect children. These programs include leadership development for pastors, training child ministers and the rest of the community including the corporates.
The Global Leadership Summit (GLS)
The Global Leadership Summit (GLS) is an annual leaders’ development program meant to give leaders a platform to learn from each other and use their influence to accomplish God’s purpose on earth. Ripples International helps in planning and coordination of the Global Leadership Summit Meru Chapter in line with the objectives and aims of the Global Leadership Network, USA. The forum brings leaders young and old from all sectors of the community including the corporate, the religious leaders, and the learning institutions of higher learning, the GOK departments, and the judiciary among others.
It normally takes the form of life speakers and pre-recorded sessions of the Global leadership conference which takes place in November every year. Choice speakers make presentations of their leadership experiences which the participants learn from and apply to their own lives. It is a life-transforming experience.
We encourage early bookings.
The next GLS conference is in November 2020.
Meru County Prayer Breakfast
Ripples International organizes an annual prayer breakfast aimed at bringing together leaders and representatives from the County Government of Meru, the local churches, National government NGOs, business sector, and other community leaders to dialogue on the issues affecting the county and then pray.
In 2019, over 100 leaders met and prayed for the healing of the land of Meru against the Cancer pandemic, violence against children and women, suicides among the young people and murders happening in the county. This prayer was in line with the scriptures 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
We look forward to the next edition for the prayer breakfast in 2020.
Gospel Outreaches for community transformation
Working with partners, we carried gospel outreaches to the communities in Kenya. Over the last six years, RI in partnership with Mission Kenya, a team from the US passionate with spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, has conducted successful missions in Meru and Samburu Counties. The outreaches have touched and changed the lives of children, families and leaders in various communities. The main approaches involved are working with schools, distributing bibles, carrying out bible studies, and games; and mobilizing and training of pastors, empowerment of women and supporting families in need of urgent food relief, and construction of dilapidated houses.
