Nahal School, encompassing kindergarten, primary, and junior levels, was founded in January 2011 due to difficulties in finding school placements for children from our shelters, who faced stigma. Starting with seven children in a rented house at Makutano Meru, it has grown into a full-fledged primary school.
Located in a serene environment at Kithoka, away from the distractions of Meru town, Nahal School offers a peaceful setting for learning.
RI Nahal School is dedicated to nurturing leaders of integrity through Christian principles and values. We focus on developing children’s abilities, equipping them with academic, emotional, social, and spiritual skills. Ripples International Christian schools aim to provide a holistic education.
Nahal School operates on a 60:40 model: 60% of our students pay fees, which fund the education of children from our shelters and other vulnerable community members, who make up 40% of the student body.
We emphasize a holistic approach to learning, investing in a competence-based curriculum to help each child realize their potential in academics and co-curricular activities. Our programs include swimming, music, chess, football, athletics, and singing.
