Food relief & care packages to vulnerable families

Families that were hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic benefit from Ripples International’s Food basket and care packages including food stuffs, sanitizers and face masks. This has been going on since May shortly after the pandemic was declared national pandemic. Over 81 families have been supported with more on the waiting list.

Facemasks distribution

One of COVID 19 containment measures is to wear a facemask in public; Ripples International has been distribution facemask in vulnerable HH and identified Schools. So far RI has distributed 1500 facemasks since the month of September.

Installing hand-washing points in public places

We have supported our partners to ensure that their clients adhere to the health protocols in public places by installing hand washing points at Courts, Police stations, government offices, schools, churches and group meeting points.

Public awareness and education on COVID-19

Ripples International has prioritized education on COVID-19 prevention measures. We have used diverse media to bring the message home including posters and fliers, and murals drawn in public places. Messages have been done in local dialects and distributed in the communities. Women groups and children have been at the forefront in the distribution and education to the local communities.
